Male Body Contouring

To lose fat and tone muscles, guys often turn to diet and exercise. A healthy, nutritious diet coupled with a cardio-heavy workout regimen is typically the prescribed approach for obtaining that desired physique. However, few men see their ideal results. This is because not all types of fat burn off our body similarly. Visceral fat, for example, rests deeper inside our body and is burned when our body enters a calorie deficit (diet) and increased physical activity (exercise). Our body burns visceral fat to keep our systems nourished. On the other hand, the type of fat that creates love handles and hard-to-lose deposits on your abdomen, back, and arms is called subcutaneous fat. As the name implies, subcutaneous fat rests under the skin and above the muscle. The body uses this type of fat to protect against dermal infections, regulate heat loss, and pad against external stressors. So, subcutaneous fat is oftentimes resistant to diet and exercise and rests on our physique long after we’ve reached our goal weight. Our list of body contouring procedures is especially aimed at this type of fat.

COOLSCULPTING

In the last decade, CoolSculpting has taken the aesthetic industry by storm. CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, non-surgical fat loss treatment. We begin this procedure by attaching the CoolSculpting device to the areas you’d like to improve. The CoolSculpting technology drops the fat cells to freezing temperatures. At this temperature, the fat cells become damaged and undergo cell death. What makes CoolSculpting special is that the cryo-energy only affects fat cells and leaves surrounding cells unharmed. Over the next couple of weeks, the damaged fat cells are processed out of the body through the lymphatic system, leaving behind a skinnier, slimmer contour

SMARTLIPO

SmartLipo is a body contouring procedure that uses laser lipolysis to diminish the appearance of fatty tissue. Through a minimally-invasive procedure, Dr. Bitter makes a small incision (about 1.0mm to 2.0mm) in the target area and inserts the SmartLipo cannula. The cannula’s laser energy heats the surrounding fatty tissue and suctions them out from the body. The heat from the SmartLipo device minimizes swelling, bleeding, and bruising. Because this procedure is minimally invasive, we can use local anesthesia to keep you comfortable and relaxed.

COOLTONE

Unlike the other body contouring procedures, CoolTone focuses on building muscle instead of minimizing fat. By harnessing the power of magnetic muscle stimulation (MMS), CoolTone contracts muscles involuntarily past the point of fatigue. Your muscles contract every time they move. During a workout, every repetition of an exercise equals one contraction. So, you could probably contract a muscle close to a hundred times during one workout. However, with CoolTone, muscles contract 25,000 times in one thirty-minute session

Hair Procedures For Men

Hair is a tricky thing for men. Some men have luscious locks that linger long into life. Others see their hair thin around their 20th birthday. And some have hair in unsightly places. During puberty, male sex hormones cause body hair to grow on different parts of the body. It is these same hormones that cause men to lose their hair over the course of their lives. So, whether it is thinning hair or unsightly hair in troublespots, Dr. Bitter and his team have the services necessary to help you achieve your desired appearance.

NUTRAFOL FOR MEN

Hair loss is a natural part of aging and occurs in 80% of men. While there are a few hair loss treatment options, these options include harsh chemicals that can be abrasive on the skin and destructive to hair. Nutrafol, on the other hand, is a part of a class of naturally derived therapeutics called nutraceuticals. Nutrafol is made from biologically active compounds that protect and promote follicular health. This product comes in a bottle of 120 capsules and improves hair strength, density, texture, and shine. It is the perfect addition to a hair growth vitamin stack.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Body hair can be a mark of masculinity for some and an embarrassment for others. To treat unwanted hair on just about any part of the body, we use laser hair removal. When we target hair follicles with controlled laser energy, the hair structure absorbs the energy and diffuses it into the follicle, hampering any future growth in the cells. After a couple of treatments, the hair becomes thinner, weaker, and less pigmented

Non-Surgical Anti-Aging Procedures

Wrinkles, fine lines, and loose skin can mar a man’s complexion. While lotions and serums might be enough for some guys to see beneficial results, topicals don’t quite cut it for most men. That’s why we offer a suite of non-surgical procedures to reverse the signs of aging and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

JUVEDERM

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid filler. Hyaluronic acid is a chemical naturally found in our skin to keep the internal structure moisturized and healthy. With age, our skin’s hyaluronic acid supply wanes, causing our skin to lose its youthful complexion. Juvederm works to restore that appearance. By injecting Juvederm into the dermis, we can add volume to certain facial areas and minimize wrinkles in trouble spots. Over time, the hyaluronic acid molecules bind with the water in our skin to promote a healthier glow and provide better structural support to the skin.

BOTOX

Unlike Juvederm, Botox is a neuromodulator, not a filler. Botox is injected intramuscularly. When it is inside the muscle, Botox interrupts the chemical messages between the muscle and the central nervous system. This interruption inhibits the muscle from being able to move or contract. So, with the muscle completely relaxed, the overlying skin remains smooth and free from wrinkles, fine lines, or folds. This is the perfect solution for lines around the forehead, eyes, and mouth.

SCULPTRA

Unlike other cosmetic injectables, Sculptra uses poly-L-lactic acid. This natural substance triggers fibroblast cells to gradually increase collagen production, which in turn tightens skin. When injected into the skin, Sculptra minimizes wrinkles and gradually restores volume to a man’s complexion for around 18-24 months.

Skin-Safe Laser and Light Procedures

For many men, energy-based therapies might be the best route for treatment. Dr. Bitter is an expert in the use of dermatological lasers and even teaches other doctors how to effectively use them. From the BBL Hero to the Profractional Laser, If you would like to learn how Dr. Bitter can use cosmetic lasers to improve your complexion, please schedule an initial consultation at our Los Gatos offices by filling out this online form

MAN UP!

Man UP uses safe light waves to gently heat a man’s intimate areas to improve circulation. Many sexual health and wellness dysfunctions stem from a lack of blood flow in the genital area. By introducing skin-safe thermal energy to the area, Dr. Bitter can help restore sexual function and alleviate erectile dysfunction.
